Google is testing a new dashboard for your listing. Here’s what to watch.
Business Home and rebuilt performance reports are reaching some owners now. You don’t need the beta to start reading the numbers that matter.

1. Google Business Home, in beta
On October 22, Search Engine Roundtable reported a new beta from Google called Business Home. It puts your Business Profile, Merchant Center, YouTube and Google Ads accounts in one place, with tools to create posts, track how they do, manage several locations and get suggestions built with Gemini.
It is a closed beta for some business types in the US and UK, sent out by email invitation. If you have not been invited, you have not missed a setting.
2. New performance reports being tested
A day later the same site showed screenshots of a rebuilt performance section inside Business Profiles, with separate views for engagement, reviews, search trends and audience, plus recommended next steps. Google has not announced it; it is a test some owners are seeing.

3. How to read your listing’s numbers
Whichever version you see, the same few numbers matter.
- Calls, direction requests and website clicks. These are people trying to reach you. Compare month to month, same months each year.
- Searches that found you. The search terms show what people think you do. If the words don’t match your services, fix your categories and description.
- Reviews over time. A steady trickle beats a burst. Look at how many came in this month, not just the total.
- Views on their own. Treat them as a weather report, not a result. Views do not pay bills.
4. A ten-minute monthly check

5. Where the numbers stop
Google can count the calls. It can’t tell you which ones became customers.
That answer lives in your CRM: which inquiries came from Google, who replied, which ones booked and what they spent. When those two halves connect, a busier listing turns into a number you can plan around.
